January Thaw

So thanks to the lack of precipitation and warm temperatures (relatively) in the 80304, we have been able to enjoy the luxury of participating in two wonderful sports at the same time.I dont know why but it seems like every time we get into the middle of winter, somebody flips the switch, and we get several weeks of sun and above freezing temps. thus there has been skiing up at eldora after school almost every day, and lots of riding. Its not actually that much riding, but considering the fact that last year I didn't touch my bike till april, it feels like a lot. Most of the rides are boring, road rides with serious WIND. Got the green machine some new rubber, a 21 in back, and cables/housing, so its impressively functional albeit slow on the flats. Went out to hall earlier today, trails were clear and dry up to the loop, where we turned around and came down. a two litre of coke at the lyons store, and a long, very boring spin back on 36. Thank god there were lots of roadies to ring our bells at.
